Abstract:
Urban waterlogging is a major issue of human livelihood and safety, which directly affects the satisfaction and well-being of the people. In recent years, the double factors of climate change and urbanization have aggravated the frequency and severity of urban waterlogging, especially the torrential rain events such as "7·21" extremely heavy rainstorm events in Beijing in 2012 and "7·20" in Zhengzhou in 2021 have posed a severe challenge to urban resilience construction. As a relative new district, Guangming District of Shenzhen City has been troubled by waterlogging, but it has effectively alleviated the problem of waterlogging by taking systematic control measures such as vertical control, overall watershed planning and equal emphasis on construction and management, thus a systematic waterlogging prevention and control system has been initially formed. This paper summarizes the experience and innovative practices of waterlogging control in Guangming District, hoping to provide references for waterlogging control in other cities or areas.
